Working in Paphos

A seasonal business cannot afford a site that breaks in the one month it matters. For Paphos clients the care work is scheduled around that: updates and heavier changes happen out of season, monitoring runs hardest in it, and there is somebody local who can actually be reached rather than a ticket queue in a different timezone.

The Paphos market

  • Tourism and hospitality, with a large British and expatriate population — business is conducted in English by default.
  • Weddings and destination events, booked months ahead from overseas by people who will never see the venue before they commit.
  • Property, villa rental and the services around them.

This is our base. On-site visits are straightforward.

What's Included

01

Updates applied and tested

A website sits on software that its makers keep fixing, and some of those fixes close holes that people actively go looking for. We apply them and check the site still works afterwards, so the version your customers are using is not one with a known way in left open, and a fix for one thing has not quietly broken the form your enquiries arrive through.

02

Monitoring and backups

Uptime monitoring — an automatic check that tells us the moment the site stops answering — and daily backups, so problems are found before a customer finds them and a bad day can be put back to yesterday's working version rather than rebuilt. We do not publish a guaranteed fix time, because it depends on what went wrong: a hosting fault is usually minutes, something unusual can take longer.

03

Included edit time

Changes to wording, prices, opening hours or photographs are handled as part of the plan rather than quoted each time — up to an hour a month on Essential at €60, three on Growth at €245, six on Partner at €595. Hours are counted per calendar month and do not carry over, and anything larger, like a new page or a booking system, is quoted before any work starts, so nothing arrives as a bill you did not agree to.

Questions

What happens if the site goes down mid-season?

Uptime monitoring alerts us rather than waiting for you to notice, and being in the same timezone means a response in hours rather than overnight.

Can you take over a site somebody else built?

Usually, yes — we audit it first and tell you honestly whether it is worth maintaining or whether the money is better spent rebuilding.
