The brief
Planning a destination wedding generates an enormous amount of back-and-forth: quotes revised, suppliers swapped, numbers changed, decisions made months apart and then half-remembered. Run over email it becomes unmanageable for the planner and opaque for the couple. The business needed the planning process itself to live somewhere structured — a system of record both sides could trust.
What we built
We built a bespoke client portal and CRM from scratch for the business. Each couple gets a private, guided planning journey rather than a shared inbox, and the planner gets the operational side — the quote, the state of every booking, and the record of what was agreed. Quote state persists across sessions, so a couple can leave a half-built plan and return to it exactly as they left it. It is the private counterpart to the public brand site and the supplier directory.
The Breakdown
Private couple journey
An invite-only area where each couple works through their own wedding, step by step, instead of reconstructing it from an email thread.
Persistent quote building
The quote is saved as it is built and restored on return, so a plan assembled over weeks is never lost between sessions.
Planner-side CRM
The operational view for the business: what each couple has chosen, what is confirmed, and what still needs a decision.
Supplier and package data
Structured supplier and package records behind the journey, shared with the public directory so pricing stays consistent across both.
Subdomain separation
Runs on its own subdomain, keeping the private application cleanly separated from the public marketing site while staying one brand.
Disciplines
- Web application
- Authenticated client area
- Workflow tooling
- Database design
Under the hood
- Next.js application on Vercel, served from a dedicated subdomain.
- Authenticated, invite-only — no part of a couple’s plan is publicly reachable.
- Client-side state restoration so an in-progress quote survives a closed tab.
- Deliberately excluded from search indexing: it is a private tool, not a marketing page.
