AI Receptionist
Nobody gets the answerphone
The problem
A missed call is not a message — most people ring the next business on the list rather than leave one. For anyone working with their hands, driving, or standing in front of a customer, that is most of the day, and it is worst in the evenings and at weekends when the calls are often the ones worth having. An answering service takes a message. It cannot tell somebody what you charge or when you are free.
How we work
We put an answering service on your existing number that can actually hold the conversation: it knows your prices, your hours and what you do, it takes the caller through the questions you would have asked, and it books straight into the calendar you already keep. It says at the start that it is an automated assistant — legally required in the EU, and it saves the awkward moment when somebody works it out. Anything it should not be deciding, and anyone who says the word emergency, goes through to you or to voicemail with the conversation attached. Your existing number keeps working exactly as it does now if you would rather pick up.
What's Included
It answers on the first ring, always
Evenings, Sundays, and while you are on the other line. The caller comparing three businesses tends to book the one that picked up, not the one that rang out.
It books into your real calendar
Not a message for you to action later. The slot is taken, the caller has a confirmation, and it came from the same availability your booking system uses, so it cannot double-book you.
It says it is automated
Announced at the start of the call. EU rules have required this since August 2026, and it is also what stops a caller feeling misled when they realise — which is the thing that actually loses you the job.
Urgent calls reach a human
Anything sensitive, anything angry, and anything anyone calls an emergency stops being handled and gets put through to you, with what was said so far.
You can read every call
Written up and kept, so you can see what was asked and what was promised on your behalf. It is also how we correct it in the first weeks, because a phone assistant is never right on day one.

Questions
Can AI actually answer my phone?
An AI receptionist can handle the calls that follow a pattern — your opening hours, your prices, whether you have availability, taking a booking straight into the calendar you already keep — and it does that at nine on a Sunday evening without you picking up. It says at the start of the call that it is automated, and anything urgent or unusual goes through to you instead. Being straight with you: we have not run this for a client yet, so there is no case study to point at. If you want to try it, we would start with the two or three calls you get most often rather than handing it everything at once.
How much does an AI phone answering system cost?
Setting one up starts at €1,250, or from €3,750 if it needs to be part of a larger booking system rather than sitting on top of the calendar you already keep — all prices include VAT, with 50% up front. You then open your own account with the AI provider and pay them directly for the call minutes, roughly €40 a month for a hundred short calls, and that can be capped so it cannot run away with you; we do not add anything to that bill. The €1,250 version usually takes two to three weeks to set up, the larger one four to eight. If you want us keeping an eye on it afterwards, our systems care plans start at €150 a month.
How does a caller reach a real person when they need one?
It puts them through. Anything sensitive, anything it should not be deciding, and anyone who says the word emergency transfers to you or goes to voicemail with the conversation attached, so you pick up already knowing what has been said. Your existing number keeps working exactly as it does now if you would rather answer it yourself.
Do I have to tell callers they are talking to AI?
Yes, and it tells them itself at the start of the call, so it is not something you have to remember to do. EU rules have required since 2 August 2026 that people are told when they are dealing with an automated system, and saying it up front also avoids the awkward moment when a caller works it out for themselves. Anyone who would rather speak to a person can say so and be put through. We would not set it up to pass itself off as human in any case.
